Meet the Team
who bring you the fun loving PuppyDucks™ and all their friends.
Our team leader is David C. of course. Here are a few images that we managed to capture of our unique cast of characters hanging out with some of the PuppyDucks™ team members.
At present the PD-team consists of a few exceptional individuals who also see a vision through David’s artwork. Together we hope to channel various social stories that could help David and other children with autism to bridge gaps that many take for granted.
Meet the PuppyDucks™ team…
Meet Mrs. G – she was David’s primary one-to-one aide in his graduating year at school. She has been very involved working with David in his language arts program, as well as encouraging us both to get the PuppyDucks empire rolling! Mrs. G will be helping David to write and create innovative social stories that will help David learn how to express his thoughts and better understand things he learns. I’m sure you’ll see much of Mrs. G’s work evolve here in the pages of the PuppyDucks comic strip and stories, as well as the PuppyDuck products and imagery.
Meet Ms. M – has been a strong and guiding influence on David since the 7th grade when they both came to K-school. Ms. M will be working with David on helping him develop and learn life skills to help guide him as a member of the community, at home as well as with the work he’ll be doing with the PuppyDucks. Her dedication and work over the years at school has helped David to find his voice. Her patience and understanding of his many quirks also helped everyone who worked with David to remember his limitations and encouraged us to help him find his strengths. It would seem her love for Dave knows no bounds as she was always trying new things to capture Dave’s attention and interests. Ms. M developed David’s language program, which we’ll use as a foundation for having him learn the life skills he needs to be self-employed.
Ms. N – was David’s primary bus driver, although this was never an ordinary bus ride. Nor was she ever just a bus driver. Ms. N always took the time to reach out and wait for Dave to communicate what he did during his day at school. This sounds simple enough, but it NEVER was. Aside from that Ms. N always solicited a song, a joke or a fun fact from his repertoire. You can imagine how amazing an individual s she is, as how many people talk about how a school bus driver had an impact on their child’s education. She definitely did! This doesn’t scratch the surface of the talents that Ms. N has. Ms. N will also be working with David on his artwork, and helping him to develop the comic strip to match the stories that Dave and Mrs. G create.
And then there’s Mom – (not shown) Mom manages the PuppyDucks enterprise and is helping David develop his vision. Dave has often expressed an interest in what a “cartoonist” is. Hopefully the PuppyDucks™ adventure can help David bring about and help fulfill his dream to be a cartoonist someday. Mom is also the webmaster, so you’ll forgive the delay in getting the website in shape as she wears many hats as well as juggling David’s interim program while the PuppyDucks™ enterprise comes together. Although Mom’s picture is not on the board yet, it’s only because we haven’t caught her on camera with any of the PuppyDucks™. They seem to never be in the same place at the same time.
