Our 1st Comic is Online! & The Team is Kicking It!

Well I’m just wrapping up another long, but strong week this late hour on a Friday night. The team really pulled together this week as we had several meetings and really got our game on!

Mrs. G and Nancy came up with some great ideas for the website, which will surely help draw traffic once we get things in motion. They also wrote some awesome copy, after working it through several rounds. I’m so excited and wish I could give you all a sneak peek, but I know that once we get Dave’s hand in it, and we’re able to publish the finished product it’ll most certainly be worth the wait.

Dave and I worked diligently to get his first 3-panel comic strip published online and we did it! Dave also did great polishing up the cast of characters. This will give us a lot of material to work with, and he can choose which of his characters he wants to draw as I prefer to give him a choice in his activities. He not only got the team of characters together, but he also put them all on a bus ready for their first field trip!

After another crucial team meeting, I was reminded that the website should be fun! I had been so hung up on getting everyone updated on what Dave was doing, I almost lost site of that. So a personal thanks to Sophia for that.

I have the most amazing ladies to work with, and above all their support has been of greatest value and helped me drive this all together. – BIG HUG GALS! ~ Mom

Diligently working!

Well as expected Dave’s been hard at work. Here are a few pics of Dave getting into his new routine. After we finished working today, we took time to bake a few cookies to enjoy!

Update on the PuppyDucks

Well finally the site is on it’s way! So is the PuppyDucks business venture. As David recently graduated, he’s chosen to work from home. We went to visit a few of the work-day programs, but none seemed to be appropriate to fully capture and utilize his talents.  So as we say “PuppyDucks – GAME ON!”

Although our plan for the PuppyDucks adventure is still in development, here’s what we have in mind so far: a comic strip, holiday and greeting cards, holiday items, books and then PuppyDucks products to sell and help fund this enterprise. That’s just for starters as we try to keep the list small to stay focused and able to accomplish the goals we set. Long term goals include a wallpaper line as Dave has an affinity for drawing letters and numbers that he’s used to create his own wallpaper for his room. So I figured, why not put that into motion too!

Miss Dave? Well we will be recruiting people to work with David. Mom is always looking for volunteers to spend time with Dave, so be sure to give us a call or drop us a line. In addition we’ll be hiring a few people (depending on what the DDD funding permits) as Dave is going to need help to complete the work laid out for him.

So far we have someone to help him keep his artwork focused to the tasks set for him to complete Then we also have someone to help him write ideas for the upcoming comic strip and books.

Mom will be laying out a set of plans so we have a game plan to follow, then we’ll be able to set things in motion. I’m hoping some of the original team players will want to continue to work with us so I’ll keep you posted on the Behind the Scenes updates with who is joining our company.

There are more images to be posted soon as we keep Dave busy drawing. So stay tuned…

As you know we have a PuppyDucks mailing list so that you can keep up to date with the progress we’re having here. There isn’t much to talk about in the newsletter right now, but we’re pretty sure that new events will be coming up for us to write about soon.
